Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Bishkek

    Meet the group at the airport. Transfer to the hotel, check-in and rest.
    Morning excursion to Ala-Archa Nature Park (45 km from Bishkek, 40 minutes drive one way) – 1-3 hours of hiking in Ala-Archa. City sightseeing: Fine Arts Museum, State Philharmonic Society, Ala-Too Square, Victory Square, handicraft studios & shops, eastern bazaar. Accommodation in the hotel.
    Optional extra at additional cost (available on request): Folklore show including traditional music, songs and instrumental performance.

  • Day 2
    Chon Kemin

    Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Chon-Kemin Nature Park via the XI Century Burana Tower (140 km, 2.5 hours drive). Lunch at the Guest House. Free time: hiking in the park (2-3 hrs), visit local Kyrgyz families.
    Optional extras at additional cost: Horse & cart (telega) riding, folklore show on request at the time. Accommodation and dinner at Guest House.

  • Day 3
    Cholpon Ata

    Breakfast. Transfer to Issyk-Kul Lake (200 km, 3.5 hours drive).
    Optional extra cost: Visiting Kyrgyz village Tamchi for Borsok show (Kyrgyz traditional cuisine).
    Free time on the beach. Accommodation in the hotel

  • Day 4
    Karakol

    Breakfast in Hotel. Tansfer to Karakol (140 km, 2 hours). On the way visit the open air pethroglyphes museum (collection of stone drawings). Arrive in Karakol. Sightseeing in Karakol: Przhevalsky Museum, Moslem Mosque built in the shape of a Dungan pagoda, Orthodox Church, oriental bazaar. Accommodation in the hotel.

  • Day 5
    Tamga

    Breakfast. Check-out. Excursion to Jety-Oguz Gorge (40 km). Optional hiking and horseback riding. Drive to Tamga village (100 km, 2 hours). Accommodation and dinner in Guest House.

  • Day 6
    Kochkor

    Breakfast in Guest House. Drive to Kochkor (350 km, 6 hours drive). Excursion to local museum to see Kyrgyz carpet (“Shyrdak”) making techniques (at additional cost). Accommodation in CBT (Community Based Tourism) Home Stay Guest House. Dinner in Guest House.

  • Day 7
    Son Kul

    Breakfast. Drive to Son-Kul Lake (120 km, 3 hours drive). Walk around pastures, visit yurts of local families and fishermen.
    Optional extra at additional cost: Horseback riding. Accommodation and dinner at Yurt Inn.

  • Day 8
    Tash-Rabat

    Breakfast. Drive to Tash-Rabat via the town of Naryn (260 km, 5 hours drive). Lunch. Excursion to Tash-Rabat caravanserai, explore the ruins, walk in the valley.
    Optional extra cost: Horseback riding. Accommodation and dinner at Yurt Inn.

  • Day 9
    Bishkek

    After breakfast transfer to Bishkek (470 km, 8 hours drive). Accommodation in the hotel.

  • Day 10
    Bishkek

    Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Departure.
