Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Tbilisi

    Arrival in Tbilisi, transfer from the airport and accommodation in hotel from 14:00. Night in Tbilisi.
    Price of the tour is valid for group starting from 6 people.

  • Day 2
    Tbilisi

    After the breakfast we will get acquainted with the capital of Georgia. The Holy Trinity Cathedral – the third tallest Orthodox cathedral in the world and the tallest in Georgia. Narikala Fortress on the top of the hill with the magnificent view of Tbilisi. The ancient district of Sulfur Baths – Abanotubani, where among the stumpy, dome-buildings you can see a majestic Variegated Bath decorated with the mosaic tiles. We are going to also explore other main sights of Tbilisi. Dinner at the Georgian restaurant where we will enjoy Georgian cuisine and wine.

  • Day 3
    Kakheti

    Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will visit the wine region of Georgia – Kakheti, where you can taste both, industrial and house wines. Through the Gombori Pass we will arrive in the capital of this region - Telavi. The city is located in the heart of the Alazani Valley, exactly there, those famous grapes grow. There is an airport named after the fictional movie character – Mimino. Each city has its “top-of mind” attraction, for Telavi it is a giant Plane tree, over 900 years of age. We would be visiting and exploring a winery “SHUMI” which is defined as "pure wine", and after taste different sorts of wine. The next stop appears to be a Tsinandali – apart of being a sort of wine it’s also an estate of dukes of Kakheti, Tchavtchavadze. The first wine factory was established right on this place. At the end of the day we’re going to visit a winemaker, have a look how house wine is being made in “marani” and all together would be enjoying a tasty dinner. Night in Kvareli.

  • Day 4
    Sighnaghi

    Breakfast at the hotel. Probably, Georgian wine Kindzmarauli is familiar to everyone and today we will visit a factory which shares its name. Located on the top of the hill, Nekresi monastery was being attacked by different invaders since the 6th century. Since most of them were Muslims, monks invented a very specific way to defend. In case of endanger the pigs were herd in the monastery yard and the Muslims did not dare to break in. And because of that there a special tradition to make only pork BBQ. After comes a Gremi fortress which was built in 16th century by a King Levan who, as well declared it the capital of Kakheti region. For a lunch we’ll stop at the local winery, where you can also hear a history of winemaking. Now the path will lead us to the shrine of Kakheti – Alaverdi cathedral. It was built on the site of the little church of St. George in the beginning of the 11th century and was one of the highest one of its time. In the evening we will arrive in The City of Love – Sighnaghi. Dinner in the restaurant. (independently). Night in Sighnaghi.

  • Day 5
    Sighnaghi

    Breakfast in the guest house. The owner won’t let us go, until he shows his wine cellar.
    Sighnaghi – very small but unusually beautiful town with the maze of narrow, cozy streets. The location gives us a chance to admire the glorious views of Alazani Valley, in a good weather, far away you can even see a mount Kazbegi. The city is surrounded by a defensive wall with 23 towers and 6 gates. Here in the museum of outstanding Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani you can find 15 of his original paintings. In 2 km from Sighnaghi there is a Bodbe monastery of St. Nino – known as the godmather of Georgia. Here lies her body and it’s believed to be a place where your dreams come true.
    As always, we will dine at the local winemakers. Night in Tbilisi.

  • Day 6
    Tbilisi

    Breakfast at the hotel.
    Georgia is proud of its cognac which as well as Georgian wine is a very specific drink. Today, it’s time to visit Sarajishvili factory and taste this aromatic drink.
    The third highest peak of Caucasus Mountains in Georgia - the giant Kazbek is waiting to impress us. Kazbegi is one of the historical regions of Georgia, through which the ancient Georgian Military Road is twisted. On our way, we'll take a look on Ananuri fortress, built in the era of early feudalism, from where is a wonderful view of the picturesque Zhinvali water reservoir - a special gift for photography lovers. Passing by the village of Gudauri-located at an altitude of 2200 m, we’ll arrive in Kazbegi. This day we’ll spend in the Caucasus mountains then on off-road 4X4 cars take a lift to visit Gergeti Trinity Church (14th century) which is located at an altitude of 2170m above the sea level. Currently it’s a monastery where monks live. Night in Tbilisi

  • Day 7
    Mtskheta

    Breakfast at the hotel. Let’s visit an ancient capital of Georgia – Mtskheta, the holy place for every Georgian. Home of too many important cultural and religious sites, for what its sometimes called as a “Second Jerusalem”. Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (ХI cent.) in literal translation means «Living Pillar», here is buried a Christs Robe-The greatest shrine of Christian World. Jvari Monastery (in Georgian “cross”), the oldest cultural sight, built at the dawn of Christianity in Georgia in the 6th century.
    Dinner and degustation at the hospitable winemakers.
    Free time. You can visit famous sulfur baths in Tbilisi. Night in Tbilisi.

  • Day 8
    Tbilisi

    Breakfast at the hotel.
    Acquaintance with the wine world of Georgia ends with the degustation in Wine Gallery, where you can find almost all kinds of alcoholic beverages made in Georgia.
    Free time. Additional opportunity: We offer to spend an evening in Georgian restaurant where except the local cuisine, wine and chacha to will be entertained with incendiary Georgian dances, pulling you to the dance floor. Night in Tbilisi.

  • Day 9
    Tbilisi

    Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out till 12:00. Transfer to the airport.
