The view of the city, represented from the height of the Mountainous part by the television tower, clearly gives an idea of the contrasts and scale of Baku. The city resembles the shape of an amphitheater descending down to the Caspian Sea. The museum complex occupies 2 hectares of territory. 12:30 Excursion "Ateshgah - Temple of Fire-worshipers" - Janar Dagh. Probably, the most popular and exotic landmark of Azerbaijan is the Temple of Perpetual Fire Ateshgyah. His fame goes far beyond the city of Baku. On the place where this temple stands, natural gas comes out of the earth, natural contact occurs with contact with oxygen. That building, which can be seen now, was built in the 17-18 centuries by the Hindu community of the Sikh caste. But the history of the temple is much older. Long before that, there was an ancient sanctuary of Zoroastrians, who provided fire with special, mystical properties and came to worship the shrine. After Azerbaijan was conquered by the Arabs and the local people converted to Islam, the church was destroyed by the authorities, and many fire worshipers were forced to leave and go to India. But in the 15th and 17th centuries, with the caravans of traders, the Hindu fire worshipers came here again, who began to make pilgrimage to the site of the ancient sanctuary. In the former cells, where pilgrims from all over the world stayed, now there are museum expositions containing many unique authentic exhibits.
