Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Tbilisi

    The Tbilisi walking city tour will begin at the Metekhi church and visit the main sightseeing attractions of old part of the city. These include: Narikala Fortress,waterfall in Old Tbilisi , Historic hot sulfur bathes area, Leselidze street, Freedom Square, Shardeni street, Glass bridge, Rike park.
    When the tour finishes for the evening, you can enjoy some free time in Tbilisi, or our driver will take you to the hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi hotel.

  • Day 2
    Kazbegi

    Tour to Kazbegi will start from Tbilisi and drive up towards the mountains on the Military road. You will visit the residential ensemble of "Ananuri" which dates back to the 15th century. After that the scenic drive continues past Gudauri ski resort and up to Kazbegi. This town has the greatest elevation from sea level in Georgia, at 1600m high. It is situated between Caucasus Mountains (4000 - 5000m) and the top "glacier" (5033m). At the top of the town there is very beautiful church awaiting you - The Trinity of Gergeti. You can trek up to Gergeti church on your own on foot or you can rent a local Jeep and drive there (extra cost for Jeep rental)
    Scenic drive back down to Tbilisi for overnight stay in the hotel .

  • Day 3
    Mtskheta

    Mtskheta is considered to be the center of both the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Churches. Svetitskhoveli Cathedral - The first church was built in the 4th century. Over the centuries it became the largest and the most impressive church of Georgia. Christ's mantle which was brought here from Jerusalem is buried here. The church is a UNESCO world heritage site. Jvari Monastery - is a Georgian Orthodox monastery of the 6th century. There are picturesque views of both Tbilisi and Mtskheta from the monastery grounds.
    Return to Tbilisi, overnight at the hotel in Tbilisi.

  • Day 4
    Kakheti

    Drive to Kakheti - the motherland of fine wine. Visit Bodbe monastery (6th - 7th centuries) where St. Nino's cemetery lies, Visit Signaghi – called Love City where you can have a walking tour and enjoy the nice view of the Alazani river. Visit wine cellar Pheasant Tears for a wine tasting. * Continue on to Kvareli wine cellar ( Khareba winery ) for a second wine tasting experience.*
    From there we drive to see the Alaverdi monastery and also to visit the Ikalto monastery and in the evening we will drive you back to your hotel in Tbilisi.

  • Day 5
    Tbilisi

    This day is reserved for the activities of your choice. If you like you can visit the Tbilisi East Point Shopping Center which a modern mall that carries many European brands.

    Tbilisi

    Departure , transfer to the airport
