Itinerary

  • Day 1
    Bishkek - Karakol

    Your guide with the driver will pick you up and you will be transferred to Karakol city though Boom Gorge and the road through the northern shore of the Issyk-Kul lake. It’s the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608 m. above sea level). The lake is called "the pearl of Central Asia". On arrival to Karakol check-in at the hotel, dinner and rest time.

  • Day 2
    Karakol - Altyn Arashan

    After breakfast you will have the trip to the Altyn-Arashan hot springs. Where you will acquainted with the beautiful nature of Kyrgyzstan - Karakol Gorge. You will have the chance to walk in the mountains and to relax your muscles in the hot springs of Altyn-Arashan (hot radon water) after adventurous trip. Dinner and accommodation in the guest house in the mountains.

  • Day 3
    Altyn-Arashan - Karakol (18/08/2018)

    After the breakfast, free time for walking and photographing the nature. After lunch you will come back to Karakol. Before dinner you will visit the Dungan mosque, one of its highlights is the fact that it was built in a Chinese style without using a single metal nail. The mosque will be followed by a visit to an old wooden Orthodox Church, the memorial complex of the museum with the tomb of the Russian explorer of Central Asia N.M. Przhevalsky. Dinner and accommodation in the guest house. During the dinner you will see the folklore performance.

  • Day 4
    Karakol - Bokonbaevo

    After the breakfast you will start you road journey towards Bokonbaevo. Today you will drive to Jeti Oguz gorge. It’s famous for its red rocks formations that have a name - Seven Bulls (in kyrgyz language – Jeti Oguz). Also you will see there the Broken Heart Mountain. If you want it is possible to go on a top of a mountain (20 minutes) to see a panorama view of the gorge. Lunch time (lunch boxes). On the way you will have a great opportunity to visit unusual canyon – Skazka (Fairy Tale). It is a wonderful place where the red sand formation, take various fabulous forms. Then you will continue the trip to Bokonbaevo village, which is a picturesque village on the southern shore of the lake Issyk-Kul, the center of ecological tourism in Kyrgyzstan. Check-in at the Yurt camp. You will acquaint with simple rural life and with the original Kyrgyz traditions. In the afterning you will have the chance to observe Horse racing activity. After that the dinner awaits you with national food and Kyrgyz Folklore performance Yr-Kese after the dinner. Overnight in Yurt Camp.

  • Day 5
    Bokonbaevo - Son Kul

    After the breakfast you will have the chance to meet experienced berkutchi, who will share the story of hunting with golden eagles, their habits and features, while watching Salbuurun show. After that you will be driven towards Son Kul Lake along the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake. This is a great chance to see the whole lake from all sights. You will stop for lunch in Kochkor village, you can also visit openbazaar there to buy some local food and products. You will have another stop in the mountains for spring water tasting. It is a beautiful area with its flora and fauna, and if we will be lucky we can observe yuks there (wild cows). The destination of the first day of the tour will be the mountain lake Son-Kul. The lake lies on a mountain plain surrounded by meadows (jailoo). We also offer you to try the life-giving drink from mare's milk "Kymys" made by the local people. On the Son - Kul, because of the fantastically untouched nature, the purest air, aromatic and fragrant herbs, crystal clear glacial waters, Kymys turns out to be the best, with a whole bouquet of aromas. Just to note mare's milk contains 10 times more vitamins than cow's milk, so there will be some recommendations on its consumption. Kymyz recommended to drink: usually immediately before meals or an hour and a half after it. Kymyz contains useful bacteria that positively affect the intestinal microflora. Kymyz not recommended to drink to people suffering from acute diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, stomach ulcers and duodenal ulcers, as well as allergy to dairy products and intolerance to lactose. Overnight stay at the Yurt.

  • Day 6
    Son Kul

    Breakfast and free day to explore the area. You will have the chance for few hours horse riding activities to explore the nature. If you are lucky you might watch the national games played by the local herdes. Dinner. Overnight in a yurt.

  • Day 7
    Son-Kul - Bishkek

    After breakfast you will start drive back to Bishkek. On the return way you will stop in Boom Gorge for biological break and if you want you can buy some food. We will stop in Tokmok, so you could finalise your things. In the late evening we will arrive to the city of Bishkek. End of Program.
