    Arrival in Tbilisi, transfer from the airport and accommodation in hotel from 14:00.

  • Day 2

    Tbilisi

    After the breakfast we will get acquainted with the capital of Georgia:

    The Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi commonly known as Sameba is the main cathedral of the Georgian Orthodox Church located in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Constructed between 1995 and 2004, it is the third-tallest Eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world and one of the largest religious buildings in the world.

    Narikala is an ancient fortress overlooking Tbilisi and Mtkvari River. The fortress consists of two walled sections on a steep hill between the sulphur baths and the botanical gardens of Tbilisi.

    Sulfur Baths - Abanotubani, where among the stumpy, dome-buildings you can see a majestic Blue Bath decorated with the mosaic tiles.

    We will have lunch in a Georgian restaurant, getting acquainted with Georgian cuisine. Under the guidance of a Georgian chef we will try to cook one of the first Georgian dishes - chikhirtma.
    Free time. Dinner on own expenses.

  • Day 3

    During this tour you can visit: Ananuri Complex, Jhinvali water reservoir, Gergeti Trinity Church.

    Anunuri Castle Complex – a medieval architectural complex unites two churches, several towers and defense walls. Beautiful frescos, facades and views over the Jinvali reservoir makes a beginning a journey as a fairy-tale.

    Gudauri – A famous winter resort is surrounded by Great Caucasus mountain peaks. Stop at the Panorama view site and take a breath and photos in the green mountains.

    Gergeti Trinity Church - Special 4x4 Drive to Gergeti. It is located on the 2200 meters from sea level, right below the summit of Mt Kazbegi and above the small town of Stepantsminda It is set poignantly on a hill directly below the towering white massif of Mount Kazbek ( 5047 meters). You will have chance enjoy beautiful scenery.

    For lunch, try local dishes: a master class on cooking khinkali and khabidzgina (khachapuri with local cheese and potatoes).

  • Day 4

    Sighnaghi

    Breakfast at the hotel.

    Today we will visit the wine region of Georgia - Kakheti, where you can taste both, industrial and house wines. Through Gombori Pass we will arrive in the capital of this region - Telavi. City is located in the heart of the Alazani Valley, exactly there, those famous grapes grow.

    We visit Tsinandali - this is the familiar brand of white wine, and the village in Kakheti, where the estate is located and one of the most famous wineries in Georgia, once owned by the writer Alexander Chavchavadze (1786 - 1846).

    Alaverdi cathedral. It was built on the site of the little church of St. George in the beginning of the 11th century and was one of the tallest one of its time.

    We'll visit local winemaker, see how the wine is made in the marani cellar, taste several sorts of wine and fire chacha, have lunch and take part in master classes on baking Kakhetian kada and making Georgian national sweets-churchkhela.

  • Day 5

    Sighnaghi - pearl of Kakheti region is one of the most beautiful small towns in Georgia. The location gives us a chance to admire the glorious views of Alazani Valley and in a good weather you can even see a mount Kazbegi. The city is surrounded by a defensive wall with 23 towers and 6 gates. Here in the museum of outstanding Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani where you can find 15 of his original paintings.

    In 2 km from Sighnaghi there is a Bodbe monastery of St. Nino - known as the godmother of Georgia. Here lies her body and it’s believed to be a place where your dreams come true.

    And now it's time for lunch and another master class. Visit Kakheti and will not learn how to cook the famous soup kharcho and Georgian shish kebab is unforgivable!

    We return to Tbilisi. Free time. Dinner on your own.

  • Day 6

    Kutaisi

    Ancient cave town Uplistsikhe (from georgian - fortress of God), is an ancient rock-hewn town in eastern Georgia, some 10 kilometers east of the town of Gori, Shida Kartli.
    Built on a high rocky left bank of the Mtkvari River, it contains various structures dating from the Early Iron Age to the Late Middle Ages, and is notable for the unique combination of various styles of rock-cut cultures from Anatolia and Iran, as well as the co-existence of pagan and Christian architecture.

    Kutaisi - second largest city of Georgia with thousand-year history. Once it was capital of Colchis kingdom. As legend says, it was here where Argonauts arrived in search of Golden Fleece.

    Sataplia is a carst cave located in Tskaltubo, Georgia. It is famous for fine speleothems and the dinosaur footprints nearby. The tour enters the through-cave on one hillside, crosses the hill underground and then goes back on the surface past the dinosaur footprints.

    At the end of the day we will go for dinner to visit the Georgian family. The warm hostess will teach us to cook dishes such as chakhokhbili and eggplant with nuts. The feast will not be complete without toasts, georgian songs and dances.

  • Day 7

    Kutaisi

    Prometheus cave was discovered in Imeretia near Tskhaltubo town just in 1984. You will go through halls dating million years old. It is full with mythical forms of stalactites and stalagmites, waterfalls, rivers and lakes. Part of the cave tour will be by boat through underground river (when heavy rain, water level in river rises, and then you can walk just in pedestrian part of cave).

    The Gelati Monastery is in Kutaisi, Imereti Province, Georgia. It signifies the value of the Georgian Christian orthodox religion. Inside the monastery is full of murals and an abundance amount imagery surrounding the interior of the church. It was one of the first monastery in Georgia and adds great value to the Georgian culture and beauty.

    Motsameta Monastery is smaller and quieter than the one in Gelati, although its cliff-edge setting is more spectacular by far. It is a small and very beautiful monastery with round turrets crowned with peaked tent-shaped domes.

    We return to the guest house, where the hosts are waiting for us for dinner, but first, under the guidance of the chef, we will try to cook such Georgian dish as lobio (beans) according to the Georgian homemade recipe.

  • Day 8

    Tbilisi

    Returning back to Tbilisi.

    Mtskheta, an ancient capital of Georgia - the holy place for every Georgian. Home of too many important cultural and religious sites, for what its sometimes called as a “Second Jerusalem”.

    Jvari Monastery (“Cross” in Georgian), one of the oldest cultural sight, built at the dawn of Christianity in Georgia in the 6th century. Jvari Monastery stands on a mountaintop at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, overlooking Mtskheta, the former capital of Georgia. Is unforgettable view to two rivers flowing together Mtkvari!

    We will complete our journey with a dinner at a Georgian restaurant, in order to once again taste the dishes of national cuisine, wine and chacha with fiery dances performed by the folk ensemble.
