Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Bishkek

    Arrival in Bishkek, our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to the hotel for early check-in. Have breakfast and rest time before the city tour begins.
    You will visit the Victory square, Opera and Ballet Theater, Oak Park, Ala-Too square and the Manas Monument. Manas is a Kyrgyz national hero who’s deeds are described in the “Epic of Manas”, a poem consisting of three parts and recognized as UNESCO intangible heritage since 2009.
    After the Bishkek city tour, you can have lunch at one of the restaurants with local cuisine.
    After the lunch, the tour continues with the visit to Philharmonic Concert Hall and the “Youth Avenue”, you will also visit the famous souvenir shop “Tumar”.
    Today you will also visit famous open bazaar - Osh bazaar, the authentic oriental market, where you will find dried fruits, nuts, kurut (a traditional snack), fresh fruits & vegetables, sweets and local desserts. You will have many bright and colorful photo opportunities and and the chance to try some local food. At this market there is a famous souvenir section - “Kyyal”, where you can find various souvenirs and gifts at affordable price and felt made kyrgyz traditional carpets “Ala-Kiyiz” and “Shyrdak”- heritage of UNESCO.
    For dinner, you can choose one of many restaurants in the city center area with different cuisines from local to Asian/European ones. Return to the hotel after dinner.

  • Day 2

    Tokmok

    After the breakfast you will go to Tokmok city, and will visit the Burana tower. Tokmok is located 60 km away from Bishkek and its oldest name was Suyab (this was the name during Karakhanid khaganate), and the place where the tower Burana is, was named Balasagun. Burana is a minaret-tower, which was built in 10th-12th centuries under Karakhanids. Today Burana is the world UNESCO heritage site. You may also visit balbals, the ancient monuments which were built by Turkic tribes and warriors. Your visit to this place will let you feel the atmosphere of the 12th century and have a chance to see the ancient artifacts.
    After the excursion, we will go for a lunch, which will take place on a platform floating in the middle of the lake. The restaurant is part of a very unique place called “Hawaii”. It is a cultural and entertainment center with an over water restaurant, a hotel, and beautiful park.
    After lunch you will go to Issyk-ata mountain gorge, where you will enjoy the nature, swim in Issyk-ata hot springs, and walk up to the waterfall (optional). On the territory of Issyk-Ata sanatorium you will visit an image of Buddha, which was drawn in 2th-3rd centuries BC, when Buddhism was quite widespread in the Central Asia.
    Return to Bishkek, where you may have a rest or explore the nightlife in Bishkek in the lounge bars, pubs, nightclubs or restaurants.

  • Day 3

    Supara Chunkurchak

    After the breakfast at the hotel on the second day, another wonderful trip awaits you to one of the beautiful gorge Chong Kurchak. You will also visit Ethno-resort “Supara Chong Kurchak”. It’s a unique place where eye catches the fantastic valley, pine forest and majestic mountains. You will get acquainted with the inspiration behind the creation of this beautiful place and the features of Kyrgyz traditional yurts and stone houses.
    You will have traditional lunch and experience the taste of delicious kyrgyz food.
    Depends on the week day, you will be able to see the performance of the epic poem “Manas” or experience the local traditions of wearing elechek, swaddling and lulling a baby in a kyrgyz “beshik”.
    You will plunge into the culture of the nomadic people and learn their traditions, lifestyle and customs.
    Optional activities: horse riding, archery, during winter season - snow tubing.
    Optional: to stay for overnight at the resort.

  • Day 4

    Sary-Chelek

    In the early morning, transfer to Airport for a local flight to Jalal-Abad city - a small city in the southern part of Kyrgyzstan. After we will take a trip to the Sary-chelek Nature Reserve, there is a lake which has bucket form, “chelek” in south kyrgyz dialect means “bucket”. Sary Chelek is another tangible heritage of UNESCO and Kyrgyzstan. You may walk around the Reserve, ride a horse or take a boat tour on the lake.
    Overnight at a local guest house with delicious traditional dinner. Overnight stay in the guest house.

  • Day 5

    Osh

    After an early breakfast, we will drive to Osh city - southern capital of Kyrgyzstan. Visit local holy mountain Suleiman-Too and the museum inside the mountains. Suleiman-Too has been a tangible heritage of UNESCO since 2009. According to a legend, Suleiman is named after the prophet Solomon, who liked spending time over there. Osh is an ancient city and has over 3000 years of history, people have been settling down there since those times. Inside the museum you will find out more about the lives of people of that time which were found during the archeological works. Also, there is the house of Babur. Babur was a grandson of Amir Temur. When Babur was in Osh, he saw the place where prophet Solomon left his footprints and he decided to build a house on Suleiman mountain. The house has only one room and looks like a cell.
    After the visit to Sulaiman Too we will visit oriental central bazaar, where you will dive into an atmosphere of lively and interesting bargaining and trading. In the evening you will take a return flight to Bishkek.
    Transfer to the hotel. Rest and free time.
